Qahim Inspects Progress on Paving and Rehabilitating the Main Street in the Eastern City of Dhamar

Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, inspected the progress of work on the paving and rehabilitation project for the main street in the Eastern City of Dhamar Governorate.

The project is being implemented by the General Roads Corporation at a cost of 300 million riyals, funded by the Road Maintenance Fund.

During the visit, accompanied by the Director of the Roads Corporation Branch in Dhamar, Engineer Mohammed Al-Madani, the Minister of Transport and Public Works emphasized the commitment to implementing the leadership’s directives regarding the implementation of service and development projects, strengthening infrastructure, and rehabilitating, restoring, and maintaining roads, as they are the lifeblood of life.

He urged adherence to technical specifications, quality, and mastery in implementation to ensure the project’s sustainability in serving citizens.

Minister Quhaim directed the opening of the Eastern City Ring Road to relieve pressure on the main road, avoid congestion, traffic jams, and accidents, and facilitate traffic flow.

For his part, the Director of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges explained that the project includes stone paving works spanning 600 meters in length and 12 meters in width, and asphalt restorations spanning 600 meters in length and 10 meters in width.

He was accompanied by the Directors of the Al-Manar District, Muhammad Jaaran, and the Al-Salafiya District in Raymah Governorate, Faris Ruba’; the Public Mobilization Officer in Jabal Al-Sharq, Ahmed Al-Ma’bari; the Directors of the Dhamar Al-Hussainiya Road Project, Engineer Zakaria Al-Mawri; and the Director of the Public Works Office in the Al-Manar District, Hafez Al-Qadi.
