A speech ceremony on the National Day of Yemeni Unity and the International Flight Information Day

Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority organized a speech ceremony on the 33rd National Day of the Republic of Yemen “May 22” and the World Flight Information Day, which falls on May 15 of each year.

At the ceremony, the Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, stressed the importance of celebrating the National Day of Yemeni unity, which expresses the Yemeni people’s adherence to their unity from Saada to Al-Mahrah.

He said, “Yemeni unity was found to remain a symbol that carries the meanings of strength, glory and pride for the Yemeni people, who are facing attempts by enemies and agents to tear the country apart and diminish this great historical achievement.”

Minister Al-Durra referred to the international conspiracies that are being hatched against the Yemeni people, and seek to weaken the single Yemeni body.. stressing that these conspiracies will not succeed and will be doomed to failure, just as the aggression against Yemen failed to achieve its goals and objectives.

He explained that Yemen celebrates World Flight Information Day with the rest of the world, despite the difficult circumstances that the country is going through due to the aggression and blockade.

He added, “We have expertise and technical and professional cadres that have proven their steadfastness by finding alternatives to the technical and technical navigational devices that were destroyed by the aggression at Sana’a International Airport, which the aggression failed miserably to paralyze its movement.”

 

Al-Durra reaffirmed the technical and operational readiness of Sana’a International Airport to receive all civil flights and to provide air navigation services to passengers in accordance with international conditions and requirements and the International Civil Aviation Organization “ICAO”.

The aggression coalition and its mercenaries warned against continuing procrastination and exchanging roles by delaying the opening of new destinations from Sana’a International Airport as a human right for travelers to receive treatment in Cairo and India, study or perform the Hajj to the Sacred House of God.

Al-Durra pointed out that the trips to brotherly Jordan are not sufficient and do not cover 10 percent of the actual need for population density in the capital, Sanaa, and the provinces.

 

At the ceremony, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, and the Chargé d’Affaires of Yemen Airways, Khalil Jahaf, the President of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qadir, confirmed that the celebration of the International Day of Aviation Information is important due to the extent of the authority’s commitment to implementing safety and security conditions in the field of civil aviation.

He pointed out the importance of celebrating the National Day of Yemeni Unity as a historical and national gain deepened by the pure blood of the Yemenis, pointing out that the Yemeni unity remains and is firmly rooted in the northern mountains of Yemen.

For his part, President of the Federation of Civil Aviation Syndicates Khaled Al-Hamdani reviewed the achievements of the Civil Aviation Information, appreciating the support and interest of the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and the Aviation Authority in this field.

 

The ceremony included showing films about the strength of Yemeni unity in the face of aggression, World Flight Information Day, and the tasks and work of civil aviation information.

At the end of the ceremony, which was attended by the Assistant Undersecretaries of the Aviation Authority for the safety sectors, Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Talib, Meteorology, Eng. Muhammad Saeed, Air Navigation, Eng. Abdullah Al-Mutawakel, Directors of Air Transport, Dr. Mazen Ghanem, Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, and the Institute of Civil Aviation, Dr. Naji Al-Sahmi, the distinguished ones in the Department of Aviation Information were honored.
