A training course on engineering supervision for construction projects concludes in the Capital Municipality

 

A training course on engineering supervision for construction projects concluded today in the Capital Municipality. The course was organized by the General Administration of Development Research and Training at the Municipality.

The ten-day course aimed to train 28 male and female engineers from the Works and Projects Sector and the Municipality’s Public Works Office, along with engineers from the Executive Restoration Unit, to professionally implement site supervision work.

It also provided training on receiving construction and architectural works, enabling them to read plans, analyze work quantities, and prepare technical reports.

The course included practical training on calculating bridge quantities and preparing bills of quantities for projects. It also included enhancing the efficiency of field engineers in dealing with contractors.

Field visits to a number of companies and projects were also conducted to gain insight into the implementation situation and connect participants with the practical side. During the visits, participants learned about the stages of concrete production, quality control mechanisms, and testing, as well as the additives used in concrete mixes and their properties.

They also learned about finishing work and the latest technologies and methods used in construction.
