A330 aircraft inspection process successful at Sana’a Aircraft Maintenance Center

 

The Yemenia Airlines Aircraft Maintenance Center at Sana’a International Airport completed today the A6 periodic inspection process for the Yemenia A330 aircraft, according to international specifications and standards.

The Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemenia Airlines in Sana’a, Khalil Jahaf, confirmed in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the periodic inspection of the aircraft was successfully carried out according to the specified schedule and maintenance programs approved by the factory and the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology.

He explained that the inspection included all the main systems and components of the aircraft, according to the highest standards of quality and safety, noting that the inspection lasted two days with the participation of a specialized team of more than fifty engineers and technicians from various specializations.

He pointed out that the inspection process was carried out in the hangars and workshops of the Sana’a Airlines Maintenance Center, which are equipped with the latest equipment and tools necessary according to international specifications and standards.

Jahhaf considered the periodic inspection an integral part of the aircraft maintenance program, and aims to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of the aircraft, and contributes to extending its life and reducing maintenance costs in the long term.

He noted that the Sana’a Aircraft Maintenance Center enjoys the accreditation of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, which confirms the quality of services provided by Yemeni cadres with technical qualifications and long experience in the field of civil aviation.

He said, “The center has highly qualified technical cadres capable of carrying out all types of inspections and maintenance for A320 and A330 aircraft, including heavy inspections, and includes hangars and workshops equipped with the latest equipment, in addition to the availability of the required spare parts from manufacturers and sources approved by European and American aviation organizations.”

The Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Airlines also confirmed that the maintenance center can carry out many technical inspections, including heavy inspections of type C and long-term maintenance programs, in addition to changing engines and re-weighing aircraft.
The successful implementation of the A6 periodic inspection of the aircraft was considered a confirmation of the efficiency of the maintenance center and its ability to provide high-quality services, and reflects the center’s commitment to the safety and security of passengers.

The work of the aircraft maintenance center affiliated with Yemenia Airlines at Sana’a International Airport was launched last August.
