Activity by the Public Works Sector, the Transport Authority, and Heavy Transport Offices in Hodeidah on the Occasion of Ashura

The Public Works Sector, the General Authority for Land Transport Regulation, and the Heavy Transport Offices in Hodeidah Governorate organized a speech event today to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, under the slogan “Humiliation is Out of Our Hands.”
At the event, the Deputy Governor for Services Affairs, Mohammed Halisi, emphasized that commemorating this anniversary represents an annual opportunity to recharge oneself with the values and principles embodied by Imam Hussein in Karbala, foremost among which are pride, dignity, and steadfastness in the pursuit of truth.
He pointed out that the suffering of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, remains present in the conscience of the nation, and that commemorating his memory reflects the Yemeni people’s awareness of their religious and historical responsibilities in the face of tyranny and arrogance.
Halisi commended the cadres of the Public Works Sector, the Transport Authority, and the Heavy Equipment Offices for their engagement with this occasion, emphasizing that the Husseini approach is the compass of free people at all times, and that adherence to the values of the Husseini revolution strengthens the steadfastness of the Yemeni people.
He praised the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and their unwavering support for the nation’s causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that Karbala is being renewed today in Gaza, Sana’a, and other arenas of confrontation with the forces of arrogance.
At the event, attended by the head of the Public Works Sector, Engineer Mohammed Muthanna, and the Director of the Transport Authority, Ahmed Sharaf al-Din, the deputy heads of the Public Works Sector, Mohammed Saad and Mohammed Somal, emphasized that the commemoration of Ashura restores the nation’s revolutionary momentum and jihadi spirit, and awakens awareness in the face of tyrants and oppressors.
They pointed out the importance of recalling the values for which Imam Hussein revolted, linking them to the Yemeni people’s experience of confronting aggression and combating the American-Zionist project in the region. For his part, Abbas Abdul Salam delivered a speech on behalf of the transportation sector, noting that the approach of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) represents the ideal model for combating injustice and deviation, embodied in the Yemeni people’s rejection of foreign hegemony and tutelage.
He emphasized that the ongoing challenges facing the Yemeni people strengthen their conviction in the necessity of adhering to the Husseini approach and continuing on the path of dignity and freedom until victory and independence are achieved.
The event, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council of Al-Hali District, Saleh Al-Harazi, and the President of the Heavy Transport Syndicate, Abdul-Hafiz Al-Jahli, included an expressive poem by the poet Ali Maghribi, which addressed the themes of the Husseini Revolution and its dimensions in contemporary reality.
