Al-Durrah and Qahim review the movement of ship handling and unloading activity in Hodeidah

The Minister of Transport in the caretaker government, Abdul-Wahab Yahya Al-Durra, and the Governor of Hodeidah, Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, Tuesday, 12-5-2023 AD, inspected the progress and movement of ship handling and unloading and the services provided to ships in Hodeidah Port as part of their inspection tour of the activity movement at the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation.
Al-Durra and Qahim toured all sections of the port and the docks… and looked at the mechanism of unloading and transporting goods… and heard from the head of the institution, marine engineer Yasser Muhammad Ahmed, and his deputy, Mr. Zaid Ahmed Al-Washli, and specialists in the port, an explanation about the overall services and facilities provided by the operating sectors, all of which are focused on The speed of receiving ships, unloading their cargo of goods and materials, and deporting them promptly.
Minister Al-Durra stressed the need to redouble efforts and provide all facilities to shipping lines and major importers to make Yemeni Red Sea ports attractive for commercial activity. He appreciated the role of the corporation and workers in the port in carrying out the tasks of receiving ships and commercial goods despite the various challenges they face.
While the Governor of Hodeidah explained that the efforts made to raise the pace of work at Hodeidah ports deserve thanks and appreciation, stressing the importance of technical and financial support and meeting the operational requirements of the institution so that it can carry out its national and economic tasks.
He praised the facilities provided at Hodeidah ports for major importers and receiving ships, and the speedy completion of unloading, inspection and deportation procedures.
