Al-Qaisi and Abbad Inspect Progress on Khawlan Street Rehabilitation Project

Advisor to the President of the Supreme Political Council, Lieutenant General Ali al-Qaisi, and the Mayor of Sana’a, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, inspected today the progress of the rehabilitation, restoration, and maintenance project for dilapidated sections of Khawlan Street in the Al-Sabeen District, funded locally.
Al-Qaisi and Abbad, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Public Works Sector, Engineer Abdulkarim al-Houthi, and the directors of the Water and Sanitation Corporation in the capital, Engineer Mohammed Mada’is, the Initiatives Projects Department, Engineer Ahmed al-Mashraqi, and the Technical Supervision Department, Engineer Musa al-Mansouri, reviewed the implementation of the concrete pouring over an area of 1,400 square meters in the second phase and the completion of the roadbed leveling work.
They listened to an explanation from the project manager, Engineer Bilal al-Imad, about the progress of the work and the completion rate, which has reached 30 percent. The project includes the construction of surface concrete bridges, asphalt repairs, and maintenance of dilapidated sections of Khawlan Street, at a cost of 400 million riyals. The Mayor of Sana’a discussed the mechanism for completing the second phase of the sewage pipeline project on Khawlan Street in the Al-Sabeen District, funded by the Sana’a Municipality.
Following the visit, an agreement was signed to commence the second phase of the sewage pipeline project on Khawlan Street. The agreement was signed by the Public Works and Projects Sector, the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, the General Directorate of Community Initiatives Projects, and the Executive Unit of the Municipality.
The Mayor emphasized the need to expedite the completion of the sewage pipeline for the designated sections of Khawlan Street, ensuring the necessary repairs and maintenance of the deteriorated sections and facilitating traffic flow.
