An expanded meeting was held in Sana’a Governorate to launch activities and events commemorating the Prophet’s birthday.

An expanded meeting was held today in Sana’a Governorate, in coordination with the General Mobilization, to launch activities and events commemorating the Prophet’s birthday for the year 1447 AH, and to continue mobilizing for the “Al-Aqsa Flood” campaign.
During the meeting, the Grand Mufti of Yemen, Sheikh Shamsuddin Sharafuddin, highlighted the religious meanings and connotations of commemorating the Prophet’s birthday, from which we draw inspiration from the values and morals of the Noble Prophet, and the importance of emulating and following his fragrant example, from which we draw the values of truth and justice.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to the virtues of the Greatest Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and his family, and his role in transforming the nation’s reality and leading it from darkness, ignorance, and misguidance to light and guidance. He pointed out the impact of celebrating this occasion in changing the nation’s reality, resulting in honor and victory over its enemies. Allama Shamsuddin noted that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is not strange to the descendants of the Ansar, who supported the Messenger of God, stood by him, and welcomed him in Medina with a reception immortalized in history after others had let him down.
He reviewed the significance of this great occasion, which creates a generation armed with a faith-based identity to confront the soft war waged by the enemies. He explained that this anniversary represents joy and happiness in the lives and souls of all the people of Yemen.
During the meeting, which was attended by Sana’a Governor Abdul Basit al-Hadi, members of the local council’s administrative body, the governorate’s deputies, local authority leaders, executive offices in the governorate and districts, scholars, and social figures, the governorate’s mobilization official, Fayez al-Hanmi, highlighted the importance of commemorating the Prophet’s birthday and holding celebratory events and activities to reflect loyalty and love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).
He considered the occasion a unique mobilization and faith-based event that distinguishes the Yemeni people from others in their reverence for the Holy Prophet, emulating his example and approach in defending the religion and supporting the nation.
The meeting included a poem by poet Hilal Mu’idh, expressing the Yemeni people’s deep connection to the Greatest Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
