Committee reviews amendments to building law regulations headed by the Minister of Transport and Public Works

The Technical Committee to amend the executive regulations of the Construction Law held a meeting today, headed by the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Muhammad Qahim.

During the meeting, the committee’s progress was reviewed in amending the executive regulations of the law to keep pace with work requirements in light of the continuous expansion of construction and urban expansion.

At the meeting, Minister Qahim stressed the importance of the committee completing its tasks and submitting its findings.

He stressed the need to take into account aspects related to facilitating the provision of services to citizens, and to avoid any lengthening of procedures, including automating the process of granting licenses.

The Minister of Transport and Public Works pointed out the importance of completing the regulations so that the law can be implemented and keep pace with the significant expansion of construction work to avoid any future problems.

While the members of the committee reviewed the efforts made to amend the regulations with the aim of unifying the relevant building permits so that they include all the required requirements.

They stressed the need to train those concerned with applying the building law and its executive regulations in practice.
