Engineer Mohammed Ashiyah, head of the Public Works Sector in the governorate, explained that the project to construct the Public Works Office Building in the governorate, which is being implemented at an estimated cost of 489 million and 625 thousand riyals with local funding, is a qualitative achievement in light of the aggression and blockade the country is experiencing. He praised the governorate’s leadership’s interest and keenness to establish a government building for public works, as well as its diligent follow-up to complete the project, which will represent a qualitative leap and a significant transformation in infrastructure development and provide a suitable environment for administrative and technical work.
The project’s technical director, Engineer Muqbil Manea, indicated that the work on the first phase of the project, implemented by the Military Works Department, was carried out in accordance with the approved engineering and technical specifications, adhering to quality and safety standards throughout all phases of implementation.
For his part, Engineer Abdullah Abu Maska, a representative of the Military Works Department, stated that the first phase represents 40 percent of the project, stressing that the completion of this phase is an important step paving the way for the transition to the second phase of the project, which will include building works, interior walls, and floor divisions, leading up to the final finishing stages.
He praised the governorate’s leadership and the Public Works Department’s follow-up to implement the work in accordance with the approved project specifications and the specified timeframe.
