Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works Inaugurates Fifth Construction and Building Exhibition in Sana’a

Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Yahya Al-Sayani, inaugurated today the fifth Construction and Building Exhibition, held in coordination with the Ministries of Economy, Industry and Investment, and Transport and Public Works.
The five-day exhibition, featuring 31 national government and private companies and factories producing various building and construction materials, aims to promote local products in the construction and building sector, thereby strengthening their presence in the market and providing an alternative to imported products.
The exhibition will run for five days. Following the opening, the Deputy Minister, along with the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Economy, Industry and Investment (for the Industry and Economic Cities Sector), Sami Maqbuli; Transport and Public Works (for the Public Works Sector), Engineer Ali Rajih; and Local Administration and Development (for the Housing Sector), Engineer Qasim Atif, and the Governor of Hadramawt, Luqman Baras, toured the exhibition. The exhibition featured national products from 31 participating government and private companies and factories producing cement and other building materials.
Al-Sayani emphasized the importance of such exhibitions in promoting local products, raising awareness of national products and their high quality, and fostering competition among manufacturers.
He stressed the importance of the construction sector, recognizing it as a vital economic driver and a major employer.
The Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works explained that the current diversification of national industries within the sector represents a qualitative leap in localizing industries. This development is a response to the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership and a fruit of the glorious September 21st Revolution. The opening of the exhibition was attended by a number of officials from relevant authorities, businessmen, and representatives of participating companies and factories.
