Deputy Minister of Transport and Works inspects the progress of work in Al -Selive and Ras Issa

 

the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Yahya Al -Siyani, inspected the progress of navigation and commercial work in the ports of Al -Salif and Ras Issa in Al -Hodeidah Governorate.

With him, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Al -Washli and his deputy, Nasr Al -Nusairi, reviewed commercial and navigation activities in the sidewalks of the Salif port, and the handling movement and unloading of goods and services provided to ships.

They listened from the director of the Salif Port, Dr. Fouad Al -Kabsi and his deputy Hussein Nasser, to an explanation about the reception and departure of ships according to a regular mechanism according to the time and date of their arrival in Al -Ghattas.

They also listened to clarification about the most important operational needs and requirements of the port in various aspects and project plans included in the future vision of its development and enhancing its activity.

The Deputy Minister of Transport praised the efforts made to receive ships, urging the leadership of the Foundation and managing the port to enhance coordination between them and the relevant authorities and those dealing with them, and the complementarity between the various facilities operating in the port.

He affirmed the ministry’s keenness to provide the necessary needs for the port of Al -Salif and provided it with development projects in a manner that enhances the speed of discharge.

To that, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works and the head of the Red Sea Ports Corporation and his deputy inspected the progress of work in the port of Ras Issa, and reviewed the mechanisms for receiving ships loaded with oil derivatives and the process of unloading them.

They were accompanied by the Director of Planning and Statistics at the Ports Corporation, Dr. Waddah Jamal and the Director of Ras Issa Ibrahim Muqbel.
