Discussing Aspects of Cooperation Between the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and the Civil Status Department

Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, discussed aspects of cooperation between the Ministry and the Department with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the Services Sector, Major General Mohammed Al-Hakim, and the Head of the Civil Status and Civil Registry Department, Brigadier General Hussein Aziz.
During the meeting, which also included the Undersecretary of the Civil Status and Civil Registry Department, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Hamzi, Minister Qahim affirmed the Ministry of Transport and Public Works’ keenness to enhance cooperation with the Department, within available resources, to serve the public interest and serve citizens.
He praised the efforts of the Civil Status and Civil Registry Department in providing numerous services to citizens and its continued improvement of its performance despite the difficult circumstances facing the country. He noted that simplifying and facilitating services is a priority for the Government of Change and Reconstruction.
Minister Qahim indicated that the Ministry of Transport and Public Works will work to implement some service projects within the Department, within available resources. For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior praised the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works’ keenness to enhance cooperation with the Civil Status Department through projects to be implemented in the coming period.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Civil Status Department affirmed the Department’s commitment to simplifying and developing the services it provides to citizens, enabling them to access them with ease and convenience.
The Minister of Transport and Public Works and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior were briefed on the department’s progress, its modern equipment, and the efforts made to improve services and process citizen transactions.
