Discussing cooperation between Finance, Transport & Public Works Ministries to automate latter’s work
A meeting was held in Sanaa, which included the Minister of Finance, Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Muhammad, and the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Muhammad Qahim.
The meeting was devoted to discussing cooperation and coordination between the two ministries within the general framework of the Ministry of Transport and Works’ plan to automate all the work and services it provides.
The meeting confirmed that automating the ministry’s work represents a priority in light of the directives of the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the directives of the head of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, and within the program of the government of change and construction.
The meeting stressed the importance of automation within the Ministry, given that most of the services it provides are directly linked to citizens, which contributes to accelerating service provision procedures and overcoming any imbalances.
During the meeting, the Minister of Finance confirmed that all the technical capabilities of the Ministry’s Executive Unit for Information and Systems were being harnessed to help the Ministry of Transport and Works move to electronic systems and automate all of its work.
He directed the unit to cooperate with the technical teams at the Ministry of Transport and Works to benefit from the Ministry of Finance’s experience in this field, starting with preparing automation plans, selecting systems that suit the Ministry’s work, and creating the appropriate environment for their implementation, in addition to training specialists and technicians and providing the necessary infrastructure.
For his part, the Minister of Transport and Public Works expressed his thanks to the leadership of the Ministry of Finance for its interaction and keenness to provide all facilities to benefit from its expertise in this aspect.
He pointed out that the technical teams will work to complete the plans, programs and systems for automation as soon as possible according to timely work programmes.
