Discussing the mechanism for organizing reception and unloading derivatives in Hodeidah oil facilities

A meeting in Al Hudaydah Governorate today chaired by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Governor Muhammad Ayyash Qahim discussed the mechanism of organizing reception and unloading derivatives of oil facilities in Al Hudaydah in light of the recent developments and the spread of the new Corona virus “COFED-19” and the implementation of the precautionary and preventive measures and health requirements that were launched in the Yemeni Red Sea ports to confront it.
The meeting, which was attended by the Vice-Presidents of Ali Ahmed Qashr and Majdi Al-Hassani, and included the CEO of the company, Ammar Al-Adrai and his two deputies, Mohammed Hassan Al-Lakoumi, Engineer Nasser Habtoor, and the director of the company’s branch in the province, Osama Al-Khatib, the conditions of the branch of the oil company in the province and the efforts they are making in cooperation with the relevant authorities to provide oil derivatives, as well as following up the launch And unloading a number of ships loaded with derivatives and unloading them in the company’s facilities in the port of Hodeidah.
The meeting discussed the perceptions of organizing the mechanism of entry and exit of oil derivatives carriers through the port of Hodeidah and the time period specified for them in light of what was imposed by the local authority and the leadership of the institution from a quarantine in the port, and the study carried out by the company to receive oil shipments and the equipment, protective means and protection provided to workers when unloading Derivatives in establishments to improve the performance of the unloading activity and the company’s services and supplies to the governorates.
At the meeting, the governor of the governor praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals represented by the Yemeni Oil Company in stabilizing the rationing situation for oil derivatives in Hodeidah and the general governorates in partnership with the private sector in light of the current situation and the region’s spread of the Corona pandemic.
Qahim confirmed that the company’s plans and programs will always receive the attention of the local authority leadership in the province.
The CEO of the company reviewed the efforts made by the company in cooperation with the relevant authorities to provide oil derivatives as well as following up the launch and unloading of ships loaded with derivatives held by the aggressor countries and unloading them in the port of Hodeidah.
He pointed out that the company seeks to establish a workshop to examine and repair trucks for transporting derivatives and their delivery between regions and cities of governorates, and to determine truck loads in a manner that guarantees their safety and the safety of asphalt roads between governorates.
In turn, the executive deputy of the company, Mohamed El-Lakoumi, referred to the company’s plan to increase the level of strategic reserve stocks, through a number of steps, including the establishment of stations for oil derivatives in the governorates, each with a capacity of two million liters. Noting that the company’s plan in this regard requires the cooperation of leaders of local authorities In the governorates, including Hodeidah, to allocate the space necessary for the establishment of these stations.
Al-Lakoumi stressed the importance of this step in serving the existing efforts to stabilize the rationing situation for oil derivatives in the governorates.
The meeting was attended by the director of the legal department, Naguib Abdullah Qazi, Commercial Affairs, Amin Al-Shatby, the director of the office of the executive director of the company, Shawqi Abdul Hamid, and the deputy director of the company’s branch in the governorate, Adnan Al-Jarmozi.
