Discussion of Al-Bayda Governorate’s Road Project and Maintenance Needs

Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, met today with the head of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi, to discuss the governorate’s needs for road projects and maintenance in several districts.
The meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Siqal and the directors of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges branch, Engineer Ahmed Al-Madani and Engineer Bashir Al-Sani’, reviewed priority projects for rehabilitation, including the maintenance and repair of the main road in Rada’a, as well as contributing to the rehabilitation of Jubn Street in Rada’a City at a cost of 800 million riyals. The projects also include maintenance, repair, pothole filling, and paving of the entrance to the Afar Customs Center and the Marib-Afar Triangle road in the Al-Malajim District; completion of maintenance on several streets in the Al-Sawadiyah District; rehabilitation and maintenance of the international highway from Rada’a to Al-Bayda; intervention on the western ring road of Al-Bayda in cooperation with the local authority; and maintenance and repair of the Rada’a-Dar Al-Najd-Bilad Al-Jawf road.
During the meeting, Governor Idris emphasized the importance of including the governorate’s needs in the Fund’s upcoming plans, given the vital role roads play in serving economic, social, and humanitarian needs. He noted that several roads in Al-Bayda are severely deteriorated due to long-term use and natural elements, necessitating urgent intervention for their rehabilitation.
Engineer Al-Haifi explained the Road Maintenance Fund’s commitment to cooperating with the governorate leadership and working according to the presented matrix of needs and priorities, ensuring the implementation of projects with a direct impact on citizens’ lives.
