Discussion of the Executive Unit for Road Construction and Maintenance in Sa’dah

The Board of Directors of the Executive Unit for Projects, Maintenance, and Development of Roads and Public Spaces in Sa’dah Governorate, chaired by Governor Mohammed Jaber Awad, discussed the unit’s activities and the progress of project implementation today.

The meeting, which included the Deputy Governor for Public Works and Director of the Executive Unit in the governorate, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Nimri, the Head of the Public Works Sector, Engineer Ahsan Al-Qahim, and members of the Board, reviewed the final accounts for the past year, the projects implemented, the obstacles hindering the unit’s performance, and ways to address them.

During the meeting, Governor Awad praised the unit’s efforts in implementing service projects in the governorate, emphasizing the importance of road projects, their maintenance and development, and the need to maintain equipment and prepare for the implementation of works and projects planned for the coming year.

The Executive Unit Director, Engineer Al-Nimri, and the Unit’s Projects Director, Sadiq Mashwar, reviewed the projects and interventions implemented by the unit since its establishment until the end of 2025. They explained that 57 projects were completed, encompassing road and street paving, asphalt maintenance of dilapidated streets, construction, paving, supply, and heritage projects, as well as projects addressing traffic congestion and overcrowding, and earthworks, at a total cost of 2,665,879,000 riyals.

Al-Nimri and Mashwar discussed the challenges facing the work and the unit’s equipment needs to facilitate its operations and fulfill its assigned tasks. They expressed their appreciation for the governorate’s leadership and its commitment to overcoming obstacles hindering the work.
