Discussion of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works’ Organizational Bylaws and Work Plans for 1448 AH

 

The Ministry of Transport and Public Works Council, in its meeting today, chaired by Minister Mohammed Qahim, discussed the Ministry’s organizational bylaws and the preparation of work plans for the year 1448 AH.

At the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretaries for Roads, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi; Transport, Alawi Yahya; and Public Works, Engineer Ali Rajih, the Ministry’s organizational bylaws were reviewed in accordance with Republican Decree No. (70) of 1447 AH. The Undersecretaries were tasked with studying the bylaws and developing detailed plans for the tasks at the department and division levels within the specified timeframe.

The meeting, which included the Chairman of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, the Acting Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Arif Musleh, the Ministry’s planning team, sector officials, and directors general, emphasized the importance of preparing all operational plans for the Ministry and its affiliated entities, as well as performance plans, in accordance with the organizational components outlined in the approved bylaws.

The meeting addressed the progress of the Ministry’s integration process and the implementation procedures for transferring and merging all units within the Ministry. It directed that all affiliated bodies and institutions be instructed to adhere to the bylaws and prepare for the complete integration.

The meeting stressed the necessity of submitting development plans for the sectors and affiliated entities in accordance with the bylaws, along with proposing general policies for the Ministry sectorally, taking into account the requirements of the current phase.

The meeting also discussed the unified platform project for services provided by the Ministry, in addition to the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council, and the government’s matrix. It emphasized the importance of streamlining procedures and enhancing performance monitoring to better serve the community. At the meeting, the Minister of Transport and Public Works emphasized the importance of everyone redoubling their efforts in carrying out various tasks and responsibilities, and fulfilling all obligations.

He pointed to the importance of being guided by the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the government’s draft plan when preparing the plans of the ministry and its affiliated entities, focusing on priority programs and projects that contribute to serving citizens and alleviating their suffering.

Minister Qahim stressed the importance of ensuring that the plans include projects and programs that address urgent needs and are feasible across all sectors of the ministry.
