Discussion of the Progress of Projects Supervised by the Public Works Project

Deputy Minister of Local and Rural Development, Nasser Al-Mahdhar, met today with the Executive Director of the Public Works Project, Engineer Saeed Abdo, to discuss the projects and works overseen by the project in the administrative units.

The meeting reviewed the progress made on development and service projects supervised by the Public Works Project during the past period, as well as the difficulties facing the implementation of some projects.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister commended the role played by the Public Works Project in supporting local and rural development projects and improving services for citizens in the capital, governorates, and districts.

He affirmed the Ministry’s support for the project’s efforts and its commitment to facilitating its work to ensure the continuation of its vital role in strengthening the resilience of rural communities in various economic and developmental fields.

For his part, the Director of the Public Works Project explained that there is an emergency plan in place for essential projects to ensure their completion and the continued progress of ongoing projects. He pointed out that the percentage of projects that have been implemented has reached (80 percent), while sources will be sought to complete the implementation of the projects that have not been completed.
