The Ministers of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban; Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim; and Sana’a Governor, Abdulbasit Al-Hadi, today launched the Eid Clothing Project in Sana’a Governorate for 7,726 children of martyrs and missing persons, funded by the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs’ Families.
At the launch, the Ministers of Health and Transport and the Governor of Sana’a, along with Deputy Minister of Finance Nasser Al-Hamdani and Chairman of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs’ Families, Taha Jarran, inaugurated the Eid Clothing Exhibition for the Children of Martyrs. They toured the exhibition’s sections and pavilions, including ready-made clothing and free Eid clothing for the sons and daughters of martyrs. During the inauguration, the Minister of Health praised the exhibition’s products and Eid clothing, noting the interest of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council in the children of martyrs and the Authority’s role in implementing such projects, which fall within the framework of caring for the children of martyrs and missing persons.
He urged institutions, associations, and philanthropists to support the efforts of the Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and Missing Persons in this regard.
The Governor of Sana’a expressed his thanks to the Authority’s leadership for implementing the Eid clothing project and bringing forward the project’s start date to the beginning of Ramadan, noting that what is being provided to the children of martyrs is only a small fraction compared to the sacrifices made by martyrs that have resulted in great victories for Yemen.
The Chairman of the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs indicated that the inauguration of the exhibition in Sana’a Governorate is part of the Eid clothing project launched by the Prime Minister, targeting 60,600 children of martyrs and missing persons across the country’s governorates, and is part of the Authority’s plans and programs for the current year.
In turn, Hussein Al-Qadi, the Authority’s Undersecretary for the Welfare Sector, explained that the Eid Clothing Project, implemented annually by the Authority, includes 72 exhibitions across the country’s governorates.
He noted that the clothing exhibition is distinguished by its high-quality clothing, produced locally by productive families.
The inauguration was attended by Saleh Hamza, Vice Chairman of the General Authority for Martyrs’ Care, and Hamir Hamza, Director of the Authority’s branch in Sana’a Governorate.
