Event and Commemoration of the Families of Martyrs from the Public Works Sector in the Capital Governorate on the Anniversary of Martyrdom

 

The General Mobilization Department of the Public Works Sector and Office in the Capital Governorate organized a commemoration event today on the anniversary of Martyrdom, honoring the families of its martyred employees under the slogan, “In Loyalty to the Blood of the Martyrs… Mobilization Continues and Readiness is High.”

At the event, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Engineer Yahya Al-Sayani, praised the children and families of the martyrs who embodied the meanings of sacrifice, dedication, struggle, and selflessness in the pursuit of dignity, freedom, and the defense of the nation’s sovereignty, security, and independence.

He discussed the significance of martyrdom and its close connection between the giver and the receiver, and the price paid by the truthful, faithful, and sincere believers to God, His Messenger, and the homeland. Al-Sayani affirmed that the martyrs have attained a high and exalted status with God Almighty.

He explained that the martyrs are the reason for the strength and victory of the Yemeni people, enabling them to stand firm and resilient in the face of the forces of global disbelief and tyranny, and in support of the oppressed in Gaza.

He pointed out that the families of the martyrs, who gave their lives like seeds watered with their blood, have borne fruit today in the form of pride, dignity, and strength for this nation. Yemen has thus attained a distinguished position through its honorable stances and its confrontation with the tyrants of our time: America, Israel, and their regional proxies.

He emphasized that Yemen has offered great leaders, such as the martyred leader, the martyred president, the martyred prime minister, and a number of ministers, and that it will never retreat or yield in confronting its enemies and supporting and aiding Palestine.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat for Public Works and Projects, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, highlighted the magnitude of the sacrifices made by the martyrs in defending the nation’s honor and dignity.

He affirmed that the greatness of the martyrs’ stances, sacrifices, and heroism has yielded glory, victory, strength, and empowerment for the Yemeni people in confronting the forces of aggression and arrogance, supporting the oppressed, and defending the nation’s sacred values.

He called on everyone to close ranks, strengthen the home front, and uphold the values ​​of brotherhood and solidarity to thwart the enemies’ schemes aimed at dividing the nation and tearing apart its social fabric. He also urged attention to be given to the families and relatives of the martyrs.

For his part, Dr. Abdul Wahab Sharaf Al-Din, Assistant Undersecretary of the Capital Governorate, considered the Martyrs’ Day anniversary an occasion to draw inspiration from the great sacrifices made by the martyrs in defense of the homeland and its stability, and in repelling the invaders and occupiers.

He explained that the martyrs’ sacrifices have yielded glory, victory, strength, empowerment, and the achievement of triumph over the American-Zionist aggression forces and their henchmen and mercenaries. Meanwhile, Sheikh Khalid Musa, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, reviewed the significance, implications, objectives, and dimensions of the annual commemoration of the martyrs, highlighting their virtues and sacrifices, and their role in confronting the oppressors and their tyranny, and in curbing their evil.

He emphasized the importance of making the annual commemoration of the martyrs a platform for drawing lessons and inspiration, solidifying the culture of martyrdom, renewing loyalty, strengthening resolve, sharpening determination, and raising readiness to face any future escalation or conflict.

He also pointed out the importance of using this occasion to console the families of the martyrs and stand by them in appreciation of the sacrifices their loved ones made in defending the nation’s honor and dignity.

At the conclusion of the event, which was attended by the Director of Public Works for the Secretariat, Abdul Salam Al-Jaradi, the Director of Al-Tahrir District, Naji Al-Shay’ani, the Director of the Media Office, Abdullah Al-Faiq, and a number of leaders from the Secretariat and the Public Works sector, the families of martyrs from the Public Works Office were honored with certificates of appreciation and gifts.
