Government Spokesman: Yemen’s Position on the Palestinian Issue Is Firm and Steadfast as Mountains

The spokesman for the Government of Change and Reconstruction, Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din, affirmed that the Yemeni position on the Palestinian issue is firm and steadfast as mountains, both officially and popularly.
The government spokesman added in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that Yemen, with its dear people and wise leadership, will remain a defender of Gaza and its people.
The Yemeni position is not fleeting, but rather a firm commitment embodied by the positions of millions of our people, which are consistent and identical with the unwavering positions of the leadership, and are materially and morally translated into numerous manifestations and major operations carried out by the valiant Yemeni armed forces against the Israeli enemy and its American partner.
He stressed that Yemen does not recognize, accept, or ever accept the usurping Israeli presence in Palestine or any Arab land, nor the shameful and treasonous deals being promoted under false pretenses to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
Minister Sharaf al-Din pointed out that the usurping Israeli occupation entity will be nothing but a disgrace to anyone who accepts it or extends a hand to it. It is the same entity that is committing crimes of genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people in Gaza, attacking the nation’s sanctities, displacing Palestinians, emptying the land of its inhabitants, and implementing a sinister plan to desecrate the Arab and Islamic nation.
He continued, saying, “We reject, in its entirety, any statement or position—from within or outside Yemen—that attempts to distort this steadfastness or presents a false narrative that contradicts popular consensus.
We condemn any attempt to separate Yemen from its principled, faith-based, moral, and humanitarian stance with Palestine.”
He pointed out that the Palestinian cause is a sacred issue that unites all Yemenis, and that there is no compromise or retreat on it, adding, “In the battle of the promised victory and the holy jihad, we will continue our unwavering support for our brothers in Gaza by all legitimate means, until the aggression against them stops and the siege is lifted, God willing.”
