Governor Inspects Progress on Rehabilitation Project for Collapsed Section of Mashoura Road in Ibb

 

Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah inspected the progress of the rehabilitation project for the collapsed section of the Mashoura-Al-Udayn road today.

Governor Salah and the Director of the Public Works Office, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, received a briefing from engineers from the General Authority for Roads and Bridges on the project’s progress. The project, costing 200 million riyals and funded by the Road Maintenance Fund, is currently 50% complete.

During the visit, Governor Salah emphasized the importance of this project in facilitating the movement of citizens and transportation between districts. He commended the General Authority for Roads and Bridges for its efforts in completing the work despite the challenges and difficulties.

He stressed the need to redouble efforts and expedite the remaining work according to the specified technical specifications to better serve the citizens.

Governor Salah noted that the local authority prioritizes the roads sector due to its crucial role in promoting development and improving public services. He affirmed the continuation of work to complete the maintenance of damaged roads in various districts of the governorate.

For his part, the director of the governorate’s public works office explained that work on the project is proceeding at a high pace, including backfilling, leveling and paving works, noting that the project will contribute to addressing landslides and facilitating traffic in the area.
