Governor of Hodeidah Honors Leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and the Road Maintenance Fund

 

Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Atifi, honored the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and the Road Maintenance Fund today, in recognition of their efforts in supporting road maintenance and repair projects in the governorate during the past period.

Governor Atifi presented certificates of appreciation to the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Roads Sector – Head of the Road Maintenance Fund, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi. Al-Haifi accepted the certificates on behalf of the Minister, in recognition of their direct support for road projects, which have positively impacted the governorate’s infrastructure and the safety of citizens’ movement.

The governor emphasized that the local authority considers the roads sector one of the most important service sectors related to people’s daily lives and the development process.

He considered what has been implemented during the past period an important step towards improving services and raising the level of traffic efficiency within the governorate. Atifi pointed out that road maintenance and rehabilitation require continuous cooperation between the local authority, the Ministry, and the Fund.

He praised the Ministry and Fund leadership for their swift response to the governorate’s needs and their commitment to implementing projects according to high technical standards and quality.

The Governor of Hodeidah expressed his gratitude to all the engineering and technical teams working on the maintenance projects.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works for the Roads Sector appreciated the recognition from the Hodeidah Governorate leadership. He affirmed that the Fund will continue working on implementing vital projects that serve the governorate, improving the road network, and enhancing traffic safety standards.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Hodeidah for Services, Mohammed Halisi, the Head of the Public Works Sector in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed Muthanna, and his deputies from various departments and sections.
