Hodeidah.. Discussing the workflow of shipping companies operating in Red Sea ports

A meeting in Hodeidah Governorate, headed by the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Ayash Qahim, discussed the workflow of shipping companies operating in Red Sea ports.
The meeting, which included the Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Al-Washli, the Deputy Governor, Mohammed Halisi, the Chairman of the Navigation Chamber, Hassan Abdullah, and the directors and representatives of the companies, discussed the conditions of shipping companies and ways to enhance coordination with shipping and insurance companies and address the obstacles imposed by the repercussions of the aggression and siege.
It also touched on the efforts made in the import process for various goods and the facilities provided to importing merchants and agents of shipping companies through the port of Hodeidah, and the services that contribute to facilitating the arrival of containers of various types.
During the meeting, Qahim noted the role of the private sector in economic development as a key partner in supporting the economy.. stressing the keenness of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council and the government to overcome all difficulties facing this sector to enable it to carry out its developmental role in the required manner.
He pointed out the requirements for enhancing performance in the commercial activity of the Red Sea ports, in line with the responsibility placed on everyone, especially in light of the current circumstances the country is going through.
Minister Qahim pointed out that the port of Hodeidah continues its work normally without stopping, after being targeted by the Israeli aggression.. indicating that attempts to disrupt the ports of Hodeidah and continue targeting them will not succeed in tightening the economic siege on the Yemeni people.
For his part, the Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Corporation touched on what has been implemented during the past period to improve port services and facilitate procedures for traders and commercial shipping agents.
He explained that the ports of Hodeidah provide their services to all arriving ships loaded with various types of goods through organized work mechanisms that ensure the acceleration of procedures and efforts to unload ships and prevent them from being piled up on the docks.
Following the meeting, the Minister of Transport and Public Works and Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Corporation honored the Chairman of the Navigation Chamber in appreciation of his efforts in serving the navigation activity, improving performance, and keenness to enhance the role of shipping companies in shipping and exporting various goods.
