Hodeidah University honors the Minister of Transport and Public Works

Hodeidah University honored the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, with the university shield, in appreciation of his role in establishing the College of Agriculture, and supporting the university’s programs and activities during his tenure in the governorate.

During the honoring, on the sidelines of the launch of the 2025 Investment Law in Hodeidah, the Minister of Transport and Public Works expressed his appreciation to the university leadership for this honor.. stressing that Hodeidah University has become one of the most distinguished universities in the scientific and academic fields.

Minister Qahim praised the achievements of the university presidency and its interest in cultural and social activities that serve students and enhance the role of the university in various fields.
He pointed out the importance of the College of Agriculture as the main tributary to the agricultural sector with qualified cadres.. pointing out the interest of the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in agricultural education and the advancement of this sector to achieve self-sufficiency. While the President of Hodeidah University, Dr. Muhammad al-Ahdal, praised the role of the Minister of Transport and Public Works – the former Governor of Hodeidah – in supporting the university’s programs and activities, and overcoming the difficulties that faced the establishment of the College of Agriculture.
