Honoring Dr. Abu Lahm by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Fund and Roads Corporation
The Ministry of Transport and Public Works, represented by the Road Maintenance Fund and the General Organization for Roads and Bridges, honored today, Deputy Prime Minister – former Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abboud Abu Lahm, in appreciation of his efforts and role in the success of the work of the fund and the institution during the last period.
During the honor, the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, praised the role of Dr. Abu Lahm in overcoming difficulties in front of the fund and the institution, which reflected positively at the level of implementation of projects in various governorates.
He affirmed keenness to continue working to advance the performance of the fund and the institution and expand their activities in a way that meets the country’s needs of road projects and bridges that represent a basic pillar of development and an important part of the country’s infrastructure.
For his part, Dr. Abu Lahm pointed out that the fund and the institution, despite the difficult circumstances and the scarcity of possibilities during the last period, but they achieved a qualitative leap in performance, especially in the patterns of institutional work, resource management, and reduce costs, and improve and develop technical performance.
He praised the work plan followed by the Fund and the Foundation, which is to focus on the most affected and most important road projects to serve citizens in addition to completing strategic projects and protecting the road network from collapse.
He noted the efforts made by the leadership of the General Organization for Roads, which contributed to the institution’s standing on its feet and restoring its activity at a wide pace that helped it expand its assets and equipment and enhance its infrastructure.
The former Finance Minister touched on that the efforts made in addressing the problems that were facing the work of the Road Maintenance Fund made his services reach all governorates in a record period … expressing thanks to the leadership of the ministry, the fund and the institution for this generous gesture.
The head of the Road Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al -Haifi, and the head of the General Organization for Roads and Bridges, Eng. Abdul Rahman Al -Hadrami, reviewed many of the success stories achieved by the fund and the institution in terms of implementing road projects and bridges thanks to the support and support of the former Finance Minister.
They pointed to the qualitative shift witnessed by the Foundation and the Fund in terms of work plans, performance and purchase of equipment and assets during the past years after they had reached a critical situation in the early years of aggression and siege on Yemen.
The honor was attended by Vice -President of the Road Maintenance Fund, Engineer Nabil Al -Moayad, and a number of leaders of the Fund and the Foundation.
