Honoring leadership of General Corporation for Roads

Ministry of Transport and Public Works organized an expanded meeting at the General Corporation for Roads, to review the most important achievements in the field of road and bridge maintenance and honor distinguished cadres in performance during the period 2020 – 2024.

The First Deputy Prime Minister, during the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani, praised the achievements made in restoring roads and bridges destroyed by the aggression.

He stressed the importance of doubling efforts to maintain the road and bridge network and ensuring quality during work to ensure the sustainability of roads, in addition to removing any waste after implementing projects due to the problems they cause.

The First Deputy Prime Minister urged giving priority to road sections that cause accidents and obstruct traffic, by putting in place appropriate treatments to prevent accidents and traffic congestion.

For his part, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Ayash Qahim considered the achievements of the Corporation and the Fund as a qualitative addition and a great victory in light of the difficult circumstances that the country is going through.

He stressed that all employees of the Corporation and the Fund deserve praise and honor in appreciation of their tangible efforts in the field, which had a great impact in serving citizens and alleviating their suffering.

Minister Qahim pointed out the importance of continuing efforts and working in the spirit of one team to achieve more achievements in the fields of roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects in the sectors of transport, works and roads.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Presidents of the General Roads Corporation, Eng. Amir Al-Din Al-Houthi, and the Road Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al-Muayyad, and a number of general managers, engineers and employees of the Corporation and the Fund.
