Inauguration of a campaign to remove slums and the causes of traffic congestion in the streets of the Capital
In the Municipality of the Capital, the joint field campaign was launched to implement the traffic procedures matrix to remove slums, distorted appearances, and the causes of traffic congestion in the streets of the trust.
During the inauguration, the Secretary of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, stressed the importance of this campaign to remove violations and slums that hinder traffic and deformation of the general appearance of the capital, in order to improve the level of hygiene, traffic and works services.
He praised the level of interaction with the campaign implemented by the Traffic Police, the Works Office and the hygiene project, and with the participation of directorates of directorates and the leaders of the offices concerned, within the framework of implementing the traffic procedures matrix.
Dr. Abbad stressed the importance of the concerted efforts of the relevant authorities and offices to make the campaign successful and achieve the desired goals, as well as enhance societal awareness of the importance of preserving the appearance of public streets.
To that, the Director of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al -Barashi and his deputy, Brigadier General Abdullah Al -Aqr, the Executive Director of the Hygiene and Improved Fund in the Secretariat, Muhammad Sharaf al -Din and the directors of the Office of Works, Engineer Abdul Salam Al -Jaradi, and the passage of Colonel Najib Al -Asadi, and the Ancient Sana’a Directorate, Mahdi Arak, on the progress of the implementation of the campaign that was launched in front of Al -Thawra Hospital and the People’s School in the Bab Al -Yaman area and along the Khulan Street.
The month -long campaign aims to strengthen and control traffic and raise dilapidated cars, distorted and random appearances, and traffic congestion from the streets of Al -Amana, and transport them to the places specified for them.
The Traffic Police Director explained that the campaign targets the main streets of the capital’s secretariat as a first stage, in coordination with the directors of the directorates who will follow up the stabilization of the conditions and the lack of return of slums and the causes of traffic congestion to those streets.
He stressed that the campaign aims to remove slums, open closed roads, raise the rugs, distorted manifestations, and dilapidated cars that hinder traffic … urging to deal with charity with citizens during the implementation of the campaign.
For his part, the Director of the Works Office in the Secretariat explained that the campaign, in which 154 cadres of leaders and employees of the office and regions in the directorates, and seven miles and four cars will be removed, will remove random and distorted manifestations from the streets of Al -Amana, and the transportation of the stalls and the Arab vendors of the street vendors to the places specified for them, to ensure that the sources of their livelihoods are preserved.
While the director of the hygiene fund praised the cooperation between the Traffic Police, the Works Office and the cleaning fund and the hygiene project to implement the joint field campaign, calling on citizens to cooperate with the campaign teams.
