Inspection of Al Mahwit City Street Rehabilitation and Maintenance Work

the Deputy Governor of Al Mahwit, Abdul Salam Al Dhamari, inspected the rehabilitation and maintenance work in Al Mahwit City’s streets. The work is being implemented by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges with funding from the Road Maintenance Fund, as part of efforts to improve infrastructure and facilitate traffic flow.
The Deputy Governor, Al Dhamari, reviewed the progress of work on a number of internal streets in the city and heard from the Director of the Corporation for Roads and Bridges in the Governorate, Engineer Ahmed Al Yanai, an explanation of the project’s progress and the treatment of damage caused by the rains.
Al Yanai explained that field maintenance teams are working to scrape damaged layers, fill potholes and depressions, and re-asphalte the damaged sections according to approved technical specifications.
He pointed out that these works are part of a comprehensive plan to maintain and improve the road network with the aim of enhancing infrastructure and basic services.
The Deputy Governor praised the Foundation and the Fund’s efforts in rehabilitating the city’s streets, emphasizing the governorate’s leadership’s commitment to supporting such projects, which contribute to improving the city’s aesthetic appearance and alleviating citizens’ suffering.
He pointed out that the projects currently being implemented are part of an integrated plan to develop and improve the streets in the governorate center, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to meet local development needs and enhance public services.
