Inspection of Road Maintenance Work in Al-Bayda City

 

Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works for the Roads Sector, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi, inspected the progress of maintenance and rehabilitation work on several main and secondary roads in the city and rural districts of Al-Bayda.

They listened to a briefing from the Director of the Roads Executive Unit in the governorate, Engineer Faisal Al-Sudani, about the implementation phases and completion rates for the maintenance of the eastern ring road extending from the Azza area to the Mukayras road, as well as the western ring road branching off from the main road to the Al-Zahir road.

Governor Idris explained that these projects are part of the local authority’s commitment to improving road and bridge infrastructure, given its essential role in supporting economic and social development and alleviating traffic congestion in major cities. For his part, Deputy Governor Al-Haifi emphasized the commitment to road maintenance and monitoring progress to ensure completion according to required engineering standards.

He also expressed the Road Maintenance Fund’s readiness to contribute 200 million riyals to the Western Ring Road maintenance project and 50 million riyals to complete the third phase of the Eastern Ring Road maintenance project in Al-Bayda city.

Furthermore, the Governor and Deputy Governor inspected several streets in Al-Bayda city and received a briefing from the Director of the Governorate’s Public Works Office, Engineer Khalid Al-Qaf’i, on the current condition of several main and secondary streets in the city and the maintenance work required to improve the road network and alleviate the suffering of citizens.
