Inspection of Street Maintenance Project in Ibb Governorate Center

 

The Secretary-General of the Ibb Governorate Local Council, Amin Al-Warrafi, inspected the progress of the routine street maintenance project in the governorate center today.

During the visit, accompanied by the Director of the Public Works Office, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, and the Director of Internal Audit at the Governorate Office, Mohammed Al-Madwahi, Al-Warrafi received a briefing from the Director of the Road Construction and Maintenance Executive Unit, Engineer Khaled Al-Salahi, on the project’s progress. The project, which has a budget of 143 million riyals and is 30% complete, is funded by the local authority.

The Secretary-General emphasized that the governorate leadership prioritizes road network maintenance projects due to their role in improving traffic flow and serving citizens. He commended the efforts of the engineering teams implementing the project.

He stressed the importance of adhering to the specified technical specifications to ensure the project’s sustainability and quality, noting that it is part of a comprehensive plan adopted by the local authority to address the state of roads in the governorate. He also emphasized the local authority’s commitment to implementing projects according to the approved schedules, contributing to improving the city’s appearance, facilitating citizen movement, and serving commercial activity.

For his part, the Director of the Public Works Office explained that the office continuously monitors maintenance work on the streets of the governorate’s capital and districts.

He stressed the commitment to addressing any technical issues and working to prepare the road network in a way that ensures the safety of its users and raises the level of services provided to the community.
