Inspection of the Completion of Asphalting Work on the 30th Street, Shamlan Ring Road, Hamdan District

The Deputy Governor of Sana’a for Technical Affairs, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir, inspected the progress of the asphalting project on the 30th Street, Shamlan Ring Road, in Hamdan District today.
Deputy Governor Al-Muntasir, accompanied by the monitoring team from the Central Organization for Control and Auditing, headed by Nawwar Al-Ghamari and Engineer Abdul-Hakim Al-Masri, listened to a briefing from the Director of Public Works for Hamdan District, Engineer Abed Shayea, about the completed work and the final touches before laying the asphalt layer.
Engineer Shayea explained that a concrete block wall and the front of a reinforced building had been removed, as well as a power pole that had moved from the middle of the road to the side.
He added that Streets 14 and 20, which connect to the 30th Street, and neighborhood units 573 and 565, had been opened and surveyed to level the drainage systems and prevent any future damage to the road from rainwater runoff and flash floods. For his part, the project manager, Engineer Taha Al-Dhaifani, explained that the paving work on the project is nearing completion. The base course layer has been filled, compacted, and prepared, and a 500-meter-long, 15-meter-wide section of MC liquid asphalt has been sprayed in preparation for laying the asphalt layer and completing the second phase of the project.
Al-Muntasir urged those in charge of the project to adhere to the technical specifications and the timeframe stipulated in the project documents.
He was accompanied during the visit by the project engineer, Mohammed Sabr, and a number of engineers and specialists from the Hamdan Public Works branch, as well as local sheikhs and residents.
