Launching the electronic payment experiment to transport students within the campus of Sana’a University

Sana’a University, in cooperation with the Land Transport Regulatory Authority and CAC Bank, launched today the electronic payment experiment to transport students between colleges within the university campus.
The President of the University, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, the Chairman of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Muayyad, and the Director of the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank – Al-Zubairi Branch, Abdul Rahman Al-Matari, were briefed on the effectiveness of this free service from the bank, as no fees are added to drivers or students and only the specified amount (50 riyals) is deducted.
They listened to the officials of CAC Bank, the university branch, to explain this service that allows students to pay bus drivers electronically via the Mobile Money application by scanning the code on the buses.
They pointed out that this step is part of the first phase of expanding the electronic payment experiment in the transportation sector, which the Land Transport Authority will work to generalize in the rest of the sorting and means of transportation in the capital and governorates. The university president praised this step, which comes within the framework of the partnership with CAC Bank and the Transport Authority to provide facilities for university students and enable them to move between colleges easily and at the lowest costs.
