Meeting at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works discusses aspects related to the development of the real estate sector

A meeting at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works today discussed aspects related to organizing and developing the real estate sector to ensure its advancement during the coming period.
The meeting, which included the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, and the Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment, Eng. Moeen Al-Mahaqri, and the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Yahya Al-Sayani, and officials of the relevant sectors, reviewed the efforts of the technical committee in charge of amending some provisions of the articles of the Building Law and its executive regulations, and what has been accomplished in this context.
In the meeting, Ministers Qahim and Al-Mahaqri stressed the importance of concerted efforts and enhancing coordination between all concerned parties in laying the foundations for a qualitative shift in the real estate sector, which begins with the legislative aspect.
They pointed out the need to update the laws and regulations related to this sector, especially those related to planning and encouraging real estate investment and overcoming the problems facing it.
Al-Mahqari and Qahim pointed out the importance of partnership with the private sector to achieve the desired success by encouraging capital to invest in the real estate sector according to precise visions and plans. They considered the real estate sector one of the most important sectors that provide job opportunities and contribute to achieving economic growth. They pointed out that there are serious government trends to develop this important sector and provide all the facilities necessary to advance it.
