Meeting chaired by Al-Rahawi reviews financial arrangements

A Meeting in Sana’a, chaired by Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi, discussed the financial and administrative arrangements related to implementing the temporary exceptional mechanism to support the state employees’ salary bill and solve the problem of small depositors.

In the meeting, the steps taken by the Ministries of Finance and Civil Service were reviewed within the framework of starting the practical implementation of the temporary exceptional mechanism, whether related to mobilizing revenues or preparing employee lists, taking into consideration.

The Minister of Finance explained the steps taken by the Ministry and the Central Bank of Yemen to actually start paying employees’ salaries and depositors’ dues, noting the expected effects of the process of starting to pay salaries in stimulating the economy and the local market.

The meeting praised the efforts made by the Ministries of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development to start implementing the temporary exceptional mechanism to support the employees’ salary bill. He directed the Ministry of Finance to quickly start the disbursement process.

He praised the mechanism adopted by the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Yemen to solve the problem of small depositors. He reiterated that this temporary exceptional mechanism to support the salary bill is a temporary measure and is not an alternative to the interrupted salaries of employees.

The meeting explained that the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and siege coalition is obligated to pay the salaries of employees in all public service units and all other entitlements resulting from their aggression and transfer of the Central Bank’s jobs to its branch in Aden Governorate and their evasion of their obligations to pay the salaries of all employees of public units in the Republic of Yemen at the time
