Meeting chaired by the Minister of Transport and Public Works discusses aspects related to automating the Ministry’s services guide

A meeting chaired by the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Ayash Qahim, discussed aspects related to automating various services provided by the Ministry and its affiliated entities.
The meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Ali Al-Makni, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development for the Supervision and Performance Development Sector, Abdullah Haider, reviewed the procedures related to automating various services included in the Services Development Guide and simplifying procedures at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and its affiliated entities.
The meeting approved the formation of committees to study the existing systems available to the Ministry in a manner consistent with the automation of the services guide.
The mechanisms for organizing and developing the performance of the Public Works offices in the Capital Secretariat and the governorates were discussed, and working to automate all their work, especially the services of granting building permits, professions, advertising, facilities, markets, and others, in accordance with the unified regulations for Public Works Office services.
In the meeting, the Minister of Transport and Public Works stressed the keenness to coordinate with the Ministries of Communications and Civil Service to accomplish this important step represented in automating the various services provided by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works to citizens.
He pointed out that automation will have positive results in improving the work and general performance in the ministry and its offices, and its impact will be felt by the citizen benefiting from the services.
Minister Qahim stressed the importance of the services guide keeping pace with the various tasks and work required after the ministry is restructured in a way that achieves its new vision within the framework of the program and plan of the government of change and construction.
While the Deputy Minister of Communications and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service praised the efforts of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works in preparing the guide for developing services and simplifying procedures.
They pointed out that this ministry and its offices are among the most service agencies directly linked to citizens, which makes the completion of the guide an important step to improve and simplify procedures for service seekers.
Al-Makni and Haidar stressed that automating the services guide will contribute to eliminating any imbalances or complications during the provision of services.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Ahmed Al-Mutawakel, and the undersecretaries and specialists at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works.
