Meeting in Al Bayda Discusses Preparation of Studies and Designs for Implementing Rural Road Projects

 

A meeting in Al Bayda Governorate today, chaired by Governor Abdullah Idris, discussed aspects related to preparing studies and designs for implementing rural road projects, as part of the Rural Roads Development Program of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works.

At the meeting, the head of the engineering team assigned by the Ministry of Transport for the Rural Roads Development Project, Engineer Ali Al-Dailami, and team member Engineer Ahmed Al-Madani, reviewed the list of rural road projects. They explained that the list of rural projects includes the completion of the 12-kilometer Qaa’ Al Muzaffar Al Asfal Road in the Al Bayda countryside district, the completion of the 22-kilometer Radaa-Qayfah-Al Qurayshiyah Road, the 19-kilometer Al Sarhan-Al Qir Road in the Al Shariyah district, the 25-kilometer Aqabat Al Rayashiyah-Damt Road, the completion of the 17-kilometer Al Sawadiyah-Radman-Qania Road, and the 7-kilometer Azza-Al Dhahiki-Madhuqin Road in the Al Bayda countryside.

Al Daylami and Al Madani stated that the team is aligning the studies of targeted roads with the highest priority criteria of the funding agencies after completing the list of studies for rural road projects in the governorate.

At the meeting, Governor Idris stressed the need to rehabilitate and maintain the roads linking the districts together and connecting Al Bayda governorate to Marib via the Al Sawadiyah-Radman-Qania Road.

He pointed out that the implementation of these roads comes in accordance with the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council and the completion of development and service projects, most notably rural road projects. The Governor of Al Bayda stated that road projects are among the priorities of the local authority’s plans and programs aimed at driving development and providing services to citizens.
