Ministry of Transport and Public Works Commemorates the Anniversary of Martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad

The Ministry of Transport and Public Works, along with its affiliated bodies and institutions, commemorated the anniversary of the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad today with a commemorative event honoring his memory and his developmental project, “A Hand to Protect… and a Hand to Build.”
At the event, Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Yahya al-Sayani, affirmed that commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad represents a moment of loyalty and a renewal of the pledge to the path of the martyrs, and an inspiration drawn from the values of faith, sacrifice, and responsible action in the face of challenges.
He explained that martyrdom was a divine selection bestowed upon al-Sammad, who was not merely an official, but a leader devoted to obeying God and serving the vulnerable, embodying Quranic values in their most beautiful form, both in word and deed.
Al-Sayani pointed out that what distinguished the martyred President Al-Samad was his spiritual faith derived from the guidance of the Holy Quran and the school of the family of the Messenger of God, a spirituality that transformed public responsibility into worship, and field work into a religious duty. He cited the description of the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, who affirmed that the martyred Al-Samad “was a model of the sincere believer, who sees no position for himself except in obedience to God and serving the people, and enjoys a vibrant spirit that knows no weariness or boredom.”
He explained that the martyr al-Samad was present in the field, moving between workshops, roads, and bridges, checking on the people’s conditions, not seeking publicity, but rather striving to alleviate the people’s suffering and practically embodying the concept of the hand that builds alongside the hand that protects.
Addressing the ministry’s staff and employees, al-Sayani emphasized that their responsibility today represents a practical extension of the martyr al-Samad’s project, and that every road built and every bridge repaired is an act of resistance and construction, and a manifestation of loyalty to the martyrs’ blood.
He stressed that the quality of work in the public works sector represents a moral and religious value, and that proficiency and integrity in construction are a national responsibility, while facilitating the movement of citizens in the transportation sector is a commendable act that contributes to breaking the siege and alleviating the people’s suffering.
He affirmed that loyalty to the martyr President al-Samad is not demonstrated through appearances, but rather by drawing inspiration from his ethics, translating his faith into action plans, demonstrating dedication in implementation, and building bridges of trust between state institutions and society.
The Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works reaffirmed his commitment to continuing work in the transport and public works sectors, and to exerting efforts to rebuild what the aggression destroyed, and to rebuild the nation with unwavering faith and dedicated efforts until sovereignty, pride, and dignity are achieved.
At the event, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Public Works Sector, Engineer Ali Rajih, the Head of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Ibrahim Al-Muayyad, and the Acting Head of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, Arif Musleh, cultural activist Osama Al-Mahatori emphasized the importance of commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Al-Samad, embodying the values and jihadist achievements he exemplified in building the state with faith and steadfast determination.
He explained that the martyr al-Samad embarked on his momentous task of leading the state, relying on God, amidst extremely sensitive circumstances characterized by scarce resources, the relocation of the Central Bank, and the escalation of the blockade by the Saudi-Emirati-American aggression coalition.
Al-Mahthouri pointed out that the Yemeni people witnessed in the martyr al-Samad a genuine commitment to serving society in word and deed, particularly through his developmental project, “A Hand to Protect… and a Hand to Build.”
He noted that the hostile powers, foremost among them America and Israel, recognized the threat this project posed to their interests and thus targeted it with the latest weapons and surveillance technologies.
He emphasized the necessity of drawing lessons from the martyr al-Samad’s life (his jihad, leadership, and administration) to solidify the spirit of giving in building a modern Yemeni state that rejects humiliation and subservience.
The event, attended by advisors, directors, and employees of the ministry and its affiliated bodies and institutions, included the screening of a documentary entitled “Al-Samad: A Man of Responsibility.”
