He said, “The Friday of Rajab is not merely a historical commemoration, but a day of divine significance, associated with guidance and light, and on which the greatness of this people was manifested, as they answered the call of truth without coercion, and were among the first to embrace faith.” He also pointed to the high status that Yemen and its people enjoyed in the Holy Quran and in the eyes of the Prophet.
Al-Hadrami emphasized that this anniversary moment places a great responsibility on everyone to uphold the values of faith, support the truth, remain steadfast in their principles, and draw lessons and inspiration from this significant historical event, which will remain a guiding light for successive generations.
He pointed out that one of the most prominent lessons of the Friday of Rajab is that faith is a divine honor that places a great duty on the Yemeni people to confront the comprehensive targeting, attempts to distort their identity, impose subservience, and the Zionist-American hegemonic projects whose danger now extends to the entire region, including what is being plotted today against Somalia and the region.
Engineer Al-Hadrami also noted the high regard the Prophet Muhammad held for Yemenis, describing them as possessing “Yemeni faith and Yemeni wisdom.” He affirmed that this prophetic testimony represents a religious and moral responsibility that compels everyone to adhere to the values of faith, wisdom, and steadfastness in upholding the truth. He also affirmed that the Yemeni people have shaken the world’s tyranny thanks to their adherence to their faith-based identity, whose roots are firmly planted by God Almighty and the wise leadership represented by the leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
For his part, cultural activist Abu Saleh Atif emphasized that the occasion of the Friday of Rajab represents a great spiritual milestone for reviving faith-based identity and strengthening steadfastness in the face of challenges targeting the Islamic nation. He pointed out that faith is not merely slogans, but rather practical stances and a genuine responsibility in supporting the causes of the nation. He noted that the Yemenis were among the first to embrace Islam and defend it from its inception, sacrificing their lives in its defense and for the sake of God. He further noted that the enemies today are attempting, by all means, to tear apart the Islamic nation, especially the free peoples who call for liberation from subservience to global hegemonic powers.
He explained that God Almighty has linked success to sincere faith, emphasizing that faith-based identity is an integrated system of principles, values, and ethics, not a mere formal claim.
Atef called on the Yemeni people to preserve this great blessing and adhere to moral values, foremost among them pride, dignity, and responsibility. He warned against attempts to target awareness and identity through what is known as soft warfare.
The event, attended by the Assistant Undersecretaries of the Civil Aviation Authority for the Airports Sector, Yahya al-Kahlani, and for Air Navigation, Abdullah al-Mutawakkil, as well as the directors of Sana’a International Airport, Khalid al-Shaif, the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Institute, Dr. Naji al-Sahmi, and Air Transport, Dr. Mazen Ghanem, and employees of the Ministry and its affiliated institutions and bodies, included a presentation on the faith-based identity and a choral performance.
