First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Muftah, accompanied by the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan al-Saadi, and the Acting Governor of Dhale’ Governorate, Abdul Latif al-Shaghdari, inspected the Sana’a-Aden road through Dhale’ Governorate.

Muftah explained that the purpose of the visit was to examine the conditions in the governorate, especially after the opening of traffic on this road, the shortest between Sana’a and Aden. He emphasized that the Government of Change and Construction will repair and maintain the road to facilitate citizens’ movement between governorates.

The First Deputy Prime Minister urged the local authorities to focus on organizing markets to alleviate congestion and facilitate traffic flow.

He noted that Damt represents a historic and tourist city, a breathing space for the surrounding areas, and an important commercial market. He emphasized that the government will pay utmost attention to providing services in cooperation with the local authorities in the governorate. The First Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that the remaining roads in all governorates would be opened to alleviate citizens’ suffering, calling for the opening of the Al-Raheda-Al-Sharijah road linking Taiz and Aden governorates.

He said, “We, for our part, are ready to open the road, restore and repair the Aqan Bridge in Wadi Rasd, or create a diversion for the line, as it is an important and vital road that facilitates the passage and movement of citizens between Taiz and Aden.”
For his part, Al-Shagdari urged the Public Works Sector and the Executive Unit for Road and Public Places Maintenance to repair the Al-Dhale’-Aden road and open rainwater drainage channels.

They were accompanied during the visit by the Chairman of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami; the Chairman of the Road Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al-Haifi; and the Director of the Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Eng. Shihab Al-Shami.
