Preparatory meeting for the anti-corruption committee to prepare the annual report for implementing the national strategy

The Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority held a preparatory meeting today to prepare the annual report for implementing the national anti-corruption strategy for the year 1446 AH.
At the opening of the meeting, Acting Chairman of the Authority, Mr. Raydan Mohammed Abdulmalik Al-Mutawakel, welcomed the representatives of the entities participating in implementing the national anti-corruption strategy 2022-2026 AD.
Al-Mutawakel emphasized the importance of the report at the national level in monitoring the efforts of the Republic of Yemen in combating corruption, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing as a result of the aggression and blockade for more than ten years, and its repercussions on various economic sectors and the livelihoods of citizens. He also emphasized the efforts made by the leadership and the Government of Change and Construction to confront the aggression and mitigate its repercussions. He also emphasized the importance of collaborative work between the Authority and the entities involved in preparing and implementing the strategy, and evaluating the level of implementation through reports submitted to the Authority regarding each entity’s level of implementation, its role, and its contribution to combating and preventing corruption.
He praised the effective role of the leaders of the entities involved in implementing the strategy and the efforts and competence of their planning staff.
For his part, Dr. Yahya Al-Marani, Head of the Executive Unit at the Authority, reviewed the efforts made by the entities involved in implementing the strategy over the past years, the mechanism for preparing the annual report for implementing the National Anti-Corruption Strategy for the year 1446 AH, and the mechanism for incorporating the strategy’s projects into the entities’ plans for the year 1447 AH.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Al-Ansi, Director of the Strategic Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Authority.
