Prime Minister visits Ministry of Transport and Public Works

Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, during his visit today to the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, was briefed on the conditions of the ministry and its staff and the level of implementation of the tasks and activities assigned to the ministry and its affiliated entities.

During the visit and his meeting with Minister Muhammad Ayash Qahim, his deputy Yahya Al-Sayani, the undersecretaries of the ministry and the heads of its administrative units, the Prime Minister listened to an explanation of the current situation of the ministry and the ongoing efforts to stabilize and develop this sector, its activity and vital services that cover the fields of land, sea and air transport, and the design, implementation and maintenance of roads and public works.

Al-Rahwi also listened to a presentation on the challenges and difficulties facing the ministry and its various institutions due to the current circumstances that the country is going through and which have been ongoing since March 26, 2015, and the emergency treatments taken to reduce them, in addition to the urgent needs to provide the necessary supplies to continue and develop the level of services, especially with regard to Sana’a International Airport, Hodeidah Port and air navigation.

The Prime Minister spoke, praising the competent national cadres in this sector that directly touches the daily lives of citizens who are present in the mountains, valleys and plains.
