Qahim and Al-Mutamayiz Review Plan and Projects of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works

Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, discussed today with Deputy Assistant Director of the Prime Minister’s Office for Planning Affairs, Ali Al-Mutamayiz, the Ministry’s emergency plan and that of its affiliated entities, in accordance with the leadership’s priorities and directives.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Yahya Al-Sayani, the Ministry’s planning team, and a number of planning specialists from the Prime Minister’s Office, reviewed the general priorities and directives for beginning the preparation of the next year’s plan for 1447 AH in the areas of transport and public works, to achieve the desired goals and advance these vital sectors.
In the meeting, the Minister of Transport and Public Works affirmed the commitment of the revolutionary and political leadership and the government to continuing operations at ports and airports and confronting the repercussions of the US-Zionist aggression on this important service sector.
He pointed out the ministry’s leadership’s keenness to ensure the plan includes urgent projects, particularly in the ports of Ras Issa and Salif, which were recently brutally targeted by the US-led aggression, resulting in significant material damage. He also highlighted other projects related to the airport and port of Hodeidah.
For his part, the Deputy Assistant Director of the Prime Minister’s Office explained that the planning teams in the various ministries and agencies are the main pillar of the planning process, through accurately identifying priorities and reflecting them in project cards according to the specified templates.
He stated that the National Planning Guide is currently being finalized, which will be of great importance in terms of reducing planning levels and improving implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
In turn, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works addressed the importance of land, sea, and air transportation projects due to their impact and relevance to citizens’ lives, including food, medicine, petroleum derivatives, and other essential needs.
