Qahim and Atifi Inspect Summer Activities and Courses in the Southern District of Hodeidah

 

Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, and the Governor of Hodeidah Governorate, Abdullah Atifi, inspected the progress of summer activities and courses in several districts of the southern district of the governorate today.

During the visit, which included the districts of Zabid, Beit al-Faqih, and al-Tuhayta, Qahim, Atifi, and several directors of executive offices in charge of the summer centers received briefings on the implementation of educational and cultural programs and activities. They discussed the programs’ objectives, which contribute to developing students’ abilities and strengthening their connection to religious and national values.

Qahim and Atifi urged the community to fulfill its responsibility in protecting children and youth from soft warfare and misguided ideologies. They emphasized that these centers provide a safe environment for teaching, reciting, and memorizing the Holy Quran, and for instilling faith in the students. During his visits, Governor Atifi met with a number of social and religious figures, emphasizing the importance of summer programs and encouraging participation, urging children to enroll due to their role in building a conscious generation, immune to destructive ideologies and misguided cultures.

During the inauguration of the open summer scouting activities at Al-Fajr School in Al-Husayniyah, the governor urged the community and parents to enroll their children in these centers, highlighting their importance in teaching the Holy Quran through memorization and recitation, developing students’ skills, and protecting them from the dangers of soft warfare.

Governor Atifi also visited the vocational training center in Zabid District, where he reviewed its conditions and needs. He discussed with its administrators ways to rehabilitate it in order to create job opportunities for young people in the southern districts.

He was accompanied during the visits by a number of district directors, social and religious figures, and security leaders from the southern region.
