Red Sea Ports Corporation and sectors operating in Hodeidah Port commemorate the anniversary of Rajab Friday
The Red Sea Ports Corporation, the branch of the Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, the Maritime Affairs Authority and Hodeidah Port Customs organized today, Saturday 18 Rajab 1446 AH corresponding to January 18, 2025 AD, an event to commemorate the anniversary of Rajab Friday, the anniversary of the Yemenis’ conversion to Islam, under the slogan “Faith Identity and Yemeni Wisdom”.
At the event, which was attended by the Vice President of the Corporation, Mr. Nasr Abdullah Al-Nusairi, the Director of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization and Quality Control, Mr. Khalil Al-Jufi, and the Deputy Director General of the Hodeidah Port Customs, Adel Abbas, the Director General of Legal Affairs at the Corporation, Mr. Mutahhar Al-Amdi, stressed that the Yemenis’ celebration of this occasion embodies their close connection to Islam and the Muhammadan message, as they are the ones who carried the banner of religion and contributed to spreading Islam throughout the world.
He referred to the evidence that expresses the pride of the Yemenis in the message of Islam that reached them through Imam Ali, may God be pleased with him, the envoy of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, when he met with the people of Yemen and read to them the message of the Noble Messenger and they believed in him, and when he recognized the Messenger of God, he fell down in prostration and said: “Peace be upon Hamdan three times” and prayed for the people of Yemen.
Al-Amdi considered the Friday of Rajab an occasion to enhance the values and principles and to recall the virtues that the Yemenis are accustomed to reviving, reviewing the indications that embody the connection of the people of Yemen to jihad in the way of God after the Aws, Khazraj and Ansar fought heroic battles to support the religion of God and the message of Muhammad.
He stressed that the direct targeting of the working cadres, infrastructure and operational equipment in the ports of Hodeidah by the Zionist-American-British enemy, and the resulting martyrs, wounded and destruction, will not stop or intimidate the employees and workers of the institution, and they will face it with all steadfastness, determination, challenge and insistence, continuing to work with dedication and sincerity until the last drop of their blood in the service of the homeland and citizens.
For his part, the head of the scholars unit in the governorate, Sheikh Ali Somal, indicated that the Yemeni people are keen on the faith identity and confronting the enemies of the nation, who seek to erase this identity, stressing that the people of Yemen are proud of this religion, especially since the Messenger of God spoke about them as the best people on earth and God will support his religion through them.
