Red Sea Ports Corporation Board of Directors Discusses Operational Performance and Current Challenges

In its meeting , chaired by Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Ayash Qahim, the Board of Directors of the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation discussed the Corporation’s situation, operational and financial performance, and the challenges resulting from the aggression and blockade.
The meeting, which included the Corporation’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Zaid Al-Washli, and his Deputy, Nasr Al-Nusairi, addressed arrangements for the Prophet’s birthday celebrations at the Corporation and its affiliated sectors. It also addressed the contents of the praise of the Revolutionary Leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, for the workers and those stationed at the ports, considering them mujahideen performing a national and humanitarian role under the conditions of the blockade and targeting. The meeting reviewed the repercussions of the US-Israeli aggression on Hodeidah ports, the damage to their infrastructure, and the efforts made to address these issues to ensure the continued reception of food, medicine, and petroleum products.
The attendees reviewed the Corporation’s financial position for the fourth quarter of 2024, its annual activity report, and its performance indicators, which reflected the efforts of the Corporation’s leadership and staff, under the direct supervision of the Ministry, to maintain port readiness and ensure the continuity of their services.
At the meeting, the Minister of Transport and Public Works praised the efforts of the Corporation’s leadership, staff, and workers in various port-related sectors for facilitating the entry of ships and meeting citizens’ needs, despite the obstacles and arbitrary measures imposed by the aggression.
He emphasized the importance of redoubling efforts, mobilizing energies, and devising solutions to accelerate progress and enhance performance efficiency, meeting the needs of the Yemeni people and strengthening their resilience in the face of aggression. The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Directors:
representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Dr. Khaled Al-Nemer, the General Authority for Maritime Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Moshki, the Ministry of Finance, Kamal Khaled, the Coast Guard, Colonel Salman Jamai, the Board Secretary, Abdul-Ilah Al-Wasabi, the Director General of Planning and Statistics, Dr. Wadah Mujammal, and the Director General of Financial Affairs, Abdullah Harbah.
