Reviewing the Progress of Public Works Projects in Ibb City

The Secretary-General of the Local Council of Ibb Governorate, Amin Al-Warrafi, along with the head of the committee appointed by the Technical Unit for Monitoring and Evaluation at the Office of the President of the Republic, Engineer Siraji Al-Siraji, and members of the committee, reviewed the public works projects in the governorate’s capital during the years 1445-1446 AH, implemented by the Executive Unit for Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance.
During the visit, they inspected the concrete paving work on the 30th Street, Street 8 in the Al-Sabil area, and Street 30, in addition to monitoring the progress of the concrete culvert construction project in the Al-Kharba and Waqir areas of Ibb City.
The Secretary-General of the Local Council emphasized the importance of the committee’s field visits to assess the level of implementation of public works projects, coinciding with the start of their work to evaluate the plans for the years 1445-1446 AH.
He noted that this contributes to enhancing performance efficiency and improving the quality of implementation. He explained that the local authority leadership is committed to implementing projects according to approved standards and specifications, and to achieving the desired service and development goals.
For their part, the head of the committee, Al-Saraji, and committee member, Engineer Akram Safi Al-Din, praised the cooperation of the governorate leadership and relevant authorities in facilitating the committee’s work, as well as the efforts of those responsible for implementing the projects and their adherence to the specified technical specifications.
They noted some technical observations in the implementation of certain projects, which require minor adjustments to ensure their sustainability.
They were accompanied by the head of the governorate’s technical committee, Engineer Essam Al-Makhadri, and the directors of the Executive Unit for Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance, Engineer Khaled Al-Salahi, Internal Audit, Mohammed Al-Madwahi, Community Initiatives, Bandar Al-Ahdal, and the Deputy Director of the Public Works Office, Engineer Mujahid Anan.
