Rimah Governor Fares Al-Habari inspected today the construction work on the rehabilitation and maintenance of the Al-Jabin-Mazhar-Al-Sharq road in Dhamar Governorate. The project is being implemented by the Governorate’s Roads Construction and Maintenance Executive Unit, funded by the local authority, and in cooperation with the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit.

During the visit, which included Deputy Governor Hafez Al-Wahidi, the Governor emphasized the importance of completing the road’s construction and paving, which will serve the community during this critical time.

He commended the efforts of the Governorate’s Roads Construction and Maintenance Executive Unit and the support of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in implementing service projects that alleviate the suffering of citizens amidst the difficult and exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing due to the repercussions of the aggression and blockade. He emphasized the importance of rehabilitating and maintaining roads in the governorate’s various districts, particularly those that are nearly destroyed by flash floods and urgently require repair and maintenance.

Governor Al-Habari expressed hope that the relevant authorities would fulfill their responsibilities in maintaining the paved roads damaged by the floods and heavy rains that the governorate has witnessed in recent years.

For his part, the Director of the Executive Unit, Saleh Al-Kasmi, explained that the completion rate for these construction works has reached 30 percent. These works include the construction of culverts and drainage channels, the removal of debris and rocks that caused significant damage to the roads, and their resurfacing.

He noted that work is progressing rapidly on rehabilitating the road connecting the governorate to Dhamar Governorate from the east. This road will represent a significant improvement in facilitating traffic for citizens and will serve three districts: Al-Jabin, Kasmah, and Mazhar.
