Saada Governor Inspects Progress of Damaj-Al Salem Line Paving and Asphalting Project

Saada Governor Mohammed Jaber Awad today inspected the progress of work on the first phase of the Damaj-Al Salem Line Paving, Backfilling, and Asphalting Project, a 20-kilometer-long road.

The project is being implemented by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges with funding and supervision from the Road Maintenance Fund.

Governor Awad, along with Ahmed Mishham, Director of Saada District, listened to a briefing from the Deputy Director of the Corporation’s branch in the governorate, Engineer Aref Al-Samai, and engineers and project managers on the progress and level of completion of the paving, backfilling, and paving works in the “first phase” of the project.

During the visit, the Saada Governor praised the progress made in the project’s first phase, noting its importance in connecting several districts. This will serve citizens, facilitate their movement, and alleviate the burden of the rugged road leading to the governorate center.

He emphasized adherence to the project’s engineering specifications and consideration for preventing any construction violations that might constrict the road or its expansion.
